Where can I find the chassis number

Hi all,

can someone advise where I can find the chassis number on a 1997 RHD XK8

On the log book/ registration document. Failing that, on Uk cars it's on a small plate on the bottom left hand side of the windscreen, and failing that, it's in the boot under the battery cover, stamped somewhere.
