Jaguar F-Type SVR is a 200 Mile-Per-Hour Rocketship!
Jaguar claims that the new F-Type SVR is the fastest series production vehicle ever made by the company. That’s a technical way of saying that it’s fast, but not as fast as the Jaguar XJ220. Regardless, the new F-Type SVR is surely one fast kitty, and has all the performance bits to back up the top speed.
Available in coupe (200 mph top speed) or convertible (195 mph top speed), the F-Type SVR makes 575 horsepower that’s sent to all four wheels via Jaguar’s 8-speed automatic. No manual transmission is offered here, but the shifts from the ZF-sourced transmission are faster than ever.
If you opt for the carbon-ceramic brakes, total weight reduction is at 110 pounds over the F-Type R. Helping save additional weight is a titanium exhaust that surely will make this car louder and more obnoxious than ever. We’re looking forward to that bit quite a bit!
New aero is on hand to improve downforce, and there’s a new rear spoiler that helps channel air over the rear deck. Additional aero under the car helps keep it planted to the tarmac when the speeds get high.
Starting price for the coupe is $125,950 and the convertible starts at $128,800, and order banks are open now.
