Here’s something you don’t see every day. A 6×6 1988 Land Rover Defender 110 Crew Cab. Currently listed for sale via Dupont Registry, this (apparently) in-progress 6×6 Defender boasts a 495hp GM Performance LS3 paired with (presumably) a 6L80 GM transmission along with six 37″ Maxxis Trepador Tires and a host of luxury amenities.
What’s not clear from the listing is whether or not this is a fully custom build or based on the 6×6 Defenders Land Rover built for the Australian Army in the 1980s and 1990s. Either way, based on the renderings as well as the in-progress photos, this is one of the coolest Land Rover Defenders we’ve ever seen.
