Default 06 X-Type Sounding Phenominal!

I Finally got the front portion of my sound system upgrade complete.
Originally I had planned on keeping a completely stock look but the factory
head unit just wouldn't comply with what I was looking for.

I have installed a Clarion VZ-709 DVD head unit, Soundstream Reference
Series Components in the front doors with the crossovers and Soundstream
TX2.500 AMP powering them from the trunk.

I went with the tarantula series amp purely for aesthetics The Piano black
finish and spider on the amp match the Crossovers perfectly.

Eventually I will be adding an RE audio Subwoofer powered by another
Soundstream amp. The amps and crossovers will be mounted on a carpeted
wall in the trunk effectively cutting the trunk space in half and isolating the
subwoofer from the storage area. Hopefully minimizing vibration and getting
the good sound where I want it.

Once its all done, and a bit warmer, I will get some pictures up so you all
can critique my work.

Sounds awesome, summer is when I plan the replacement for mine. Did you start with the standard or Premium stock unit. And since yours is an 06, did you have functional Bluetooth?

Mine did not have the premium sound package and the bluetooth module was not installed.

How did you wire the amps? Did you use any of the stock wiring or all new. I've got a factory amp so I would have to add the inline transformers.

I ran all new wiring. The only thing left factory is the pass through connector going from inside the cabin to the doors.
