Hi!

My x-type makes this strange beep-sound when cold starting. It seems to be coming from speakers or somewhere up front, inside the dashboard. Its not the parking aid speaker, because its much-much shorter. It gives a constant beep for about a second. No warning lights, messages or anything comes up. Today it happened while i was driving. Car was warmed up nicely, everything was fine, car ran like a dream... except this short ghost-beep. I dont know if i should be worried or not.
Anyone got any idea what my Jaguar is trying to tell me? Its been raining a lot lately - i dont know if this has anything to do with it...

 

You need a new battery in the on board carbon monoxide detector. It is located in a welded piece of the body tubing, so you can never find it.....Hope this helps.....The as$hole.....Mike

If you press and hold the recirculate button until it beeps, it will stay on recirculate.

 

It's not the recirculate button - i tried the press and hold method. Recirculate button beep is pretty quiet and doesn't sound like my ghost-beep. At this point, i'm pretty sure it comes from my radio or climate control. Just haven't figured out yet why it beeps.
