Default For 2004 Jag VDP -Aftermarket Double Din Dash Kit and Head Unit

Does anyone know where I can get an aftermarket double din dash kit and a compatible DVD Head Unit with Bluetooth that is not too expensive, for my 2004 Jaguar XJ VDP? Every installer I have gone to, either said it is not possible or they are trying to charge over $1,000.00 to build the kit and install the unit, not including the price of the head unit. They said because of the Alpine fiber optic system, it is almost impossible to replace. By the way, I live in Atlanta, GA.

Thanks

My replacement unit was in an 2008 XJ8L. I purchased a vehicle without factory nav expecting to replace everything (but my everything turned out to be less than the installer's everything). I expected to put in a double din nav / dvd / sirius etc unit. I did that but once the installer got into it, he recommended / had to replace the entire sound system due to the fiber optics. The head unit alone was more than $1,000, which included a back up camera hookup and blue tooth. All the speakers, wiring and amps had to go so the entire job, parts and labor, was slightly more than $4,000. I wasn't expecting to replace speakers, etc., but now that it is finished, it sounds great and I plan on having the car a long time, so I'm satisfied. The installer has done other jobs for me and is very good and reputable so I don't think he did an unecessary work.

I know this is a bit dated, but coming from someone who has paled the car audio game for longer than he cares to admit, $4000.00 sounds fair for the work and hardware you describe. Especially if you are happy with it!

Thanks everybody for the replies...$4,000.00 is just too steep! Does anybody know where I can buy a ACM? My Jaguar dealer said that part is on back order and he does not know when it will be available.
