I received mine on 6/30/2016. Installed and it is flipping amazing! I have owned this vehicle for 3yrs with only the in-dash cd. As i am still waiting for an optical cable to provide a CD changer connection, i temporarily connected the NAV DVD optical to this unit.

I then realized the only time the NAV requires the DVD is if you put in a new address. History still operates without the disc. Temporarily this will be fine. And it really doesn't matter anyway, because I use my phone NAV, and it will talk over the audio playing from the phone and works perfectly.

My XJ8 L has the factory phone bluetooth which also continues to work perfectly.

The operation of the unit could not be easier once installed and ready to go. Wheel controls work for next / prev., and automatically starts up when I get into the car with my phone.... it's just awesome!!

Hi I'm over in the uk and got mine couple of weeks ago had a few problems with pairing and jumping but Veffremov was fantastic too deal with and got back to me quickly even with the time difference now all working fine so nice to listen too all my music great little product trouble is now I have the bug and want to fit more tech into a great car

Yes mark I'm very impressed really knows his product. Harry you will have too contact him I was lucky I got a cancelled unit it cost me £365 with tax our robbing government put nearly £65 tax on it put worth imop there is a link somewhere on these pages and a waiting list

 

Is there a one stop shop to ensure that my device is running with the current software update/ version.

I seem to be having problems with the device dropping my iphone link after I take a call. I don't remember the previous version doing this (but I could be wrong!) ?

There is a google mailing list jaguar-bluetooth-audio-streaming-device-users@googlegroups.com where I announce firmware updates. Last one was V3.4 on June 27.

 

I don't recall receiving said email, but I have been having issues with unroll.me lately. Can I be given a link to download the firmware update or could you add it as a download to your purchase website perhaps?

(ok, I remembered the groups.google.com, page and now have the update.)

 

I just placed an order for a unit for our 2009 XJ SV8 after having immediate positive responses from Veffremov and MarkinMaine (thanks) regarding cold weather reliability concerns I had (I'm in Canada).

Really looking forward to this solution. It's very reassuring reading feedback and customer service comments that are overwhelmingly positive.

 

I am not trying to be a Debbie Downer, but I have a much more elegant and easy bluetooth solution. I have a 2003 Stype. I replaced the OEM CD player with a OEM Cassette player from an Xtype that I found on ebay for $40. I purchased two ION brand bluetooth cassette adapters. Each has a 4 hour battery life and I charge one while the other is in use. I stream everything very easily from my phone ... SiriusXM, Tunein, GPS, etc. the mic is pretty good for handfree telephone.
