Man has walked on the moon (so they say) we have the iPad, OMG...Is it really this hard to find an aftermarket faceplate for a 2001 XJ8? Wanting to install the JVC KD-A815. Any ideas, any suggestions two weeks now of DEAD ENDS!!?

I think a custom plate is where you're headed. There just isn't a market for head replacements in these cars, so those manufacturers won't spend the money on fabrication.

Custom will cost you maybe $100 more, but thats just the way it is. Its only wood, paint and texture.
