How to replace XJ8 tape player with MP3 player FAQ
Colin
This is a really great project I would love to have this in my car.
I wonder if you could email details of your mp3 player. Schematics and code if available.
I've been looking for something like this for ages, and it's a real innovative way of converting the old tape deck.
Thanks in advance for your help.
PS you can email me at luke238 @ gmail.com remove the spaces.
Cheers

Greetings to you, Colin!
Very interesting project, I would like to take your mp3 player as a basis emulator bus ai-net for pc-car.
Would be very happy to hear from you detailed information about the project: the scheme and firmware.

Hi Colin,
Love the idea of emulating the Alpine GR-S full logic.
I don't have a scope, but I can write pic code if I know what is required.
The Alpine GR-S 20 pin socket was used in Jag, BMW, Rover, Merc, etc, etc so a simple emulator will upgrade many vehicles.
If you are listening I'd love to see the sequence and timings with a view to creating a simple emulator that just pretends to be a running tape so that an external source (AUX) can be attached.
bye, from brucegennette@gamil.com
