I'm restoring a 88' XJ40 VDP and it came equipped with a dealer installed JG 200 Detector, not sure if it works or not right now, It was a 499.00 option whe installed (I have all original papers for car, even sales slip, 52,000+ in Oct of 1987) It was for K and X band radar. Even has the coupons to send back in with you speeding ticket reciept for reimbursement of ticket. Even if not a viable detector, I will hopefully get it working, (Looks good on top of the steering column), any information about these would be appreciated.

Another item is, In the rear compartment (back seat) in the headliner well area just aft of the sunroof, I am considering installing double DVD players, that would swing down at an angle for the rear occupants viewing. I need to redo the headliner anyway, so I thought that would be the time to make this modification. question is, will roof in that area have enough strength to support (estimated weight less than 10 Lbs.) this or would I need to weld in steel supports across rear compartment area above the headliner pan?
(I do not care for the look of the strap on types that fit on the forward headrests.) Any thoughts?
