Default Replacing factory subs

Hi there,

I have a 02 x type 2.5 non premium sound. I recently purchased the factory dual subwofer enclosure which mounts under the parcle shelf. I am looking to change the subs inside of it and wire them to an external amp. Has anyone ever doen this before? I was thinking of putting in two JL audio 6W3V3 subs. Anyone have any feedback on these subs? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Good sub choice, but make sure that enclosure is suited for that type of sub. If you have a good jl audio distributor/install shop, take it by and let them give you their input. They'll help you out for sure if they can sell you the subs.

Has anyone ever installed the 6W3v3-4 in a x-Type?

What is the sound quality like?
