Hey Vittorio, I just picked up a 2011 XJL here in the USA and I'm looking for a way to unlock video in motion as well.. Does anyone know of anything?

Thanks but I dont think this allows you to take off the nanny fucntion that disables video playback in motion, I think this just allows you to interrupt the screen where you can then add an aftermarket DVD player if you wish.

This may end up having to work, but right now I'm looking for a 'lock pick' like tool that tricks the car into allowing it to display while in motion.

Again this if for my passengers, I have no intention of staring down at the screen while doing 70mph weaving in and out of rush hour traffic on local streets.

 

The New XJ was supposed to have dual-view front screen, which would enable front seat passengers to watch a movie. May be you can get a EU version of the front screen and get it installed? It seems NHTSA has deemed it illegal in the US.
