voice control
Does anyone know how to determine if you have voice command on the car? How do I find out if I have it and how I set it up cause I seen a guy say what cd and trackhe wanted to hear and the car responded I like that can someone help me
I don't know about your car, but I'm told on the 2004-XJs, you push and hold down the Phone button on the steering wheel and the system (if its installed) responds with something like "Say a Command". I was all excited, but alas, mine did nothing.

I've had my new XF since February and am just now bringing it in for minor service/warranty. My most important feature that needed to be fixed was Voice Command. Alas, Jaguar has turned OFF ALL VOICE COMMAND in the XF because it doesn't work properly. Apparently you have to raise nine kinds of holy war with Jaguar to get the code to turn it back on and then they tell you they won't warrant it. EXCUSE ME?
I am about to demand a full refund and return the car. I bought a car that had VOICE COMMAND. I paid for a car that had VOICE COMMAND. VOICE COMMAND is inoperable...FIX IT OR GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK.

It doesn't matter if you have it or not, Jaguary has disabled it on all new Jags because it doesn't work. I am about to wage a war with them to get either 1) full refund and return the car, 2) refund for an amount to ease my pain and suffering of the car being misrepresented to me at purchase or 3) they better figure out a way to fix it and make it work. You must call Customer Relations and raise hell to get your issue addressed. I will continue to post if you want to follow my lead!!

Thanks Eric. I have spoken to both the dealer and now Jag in NJ. The dealership plays dumb...Jag in NJ is going to send me a refund for that option!

If you mean, "How do I tell whether or not JaguarVoice is on my car?", press the button on the steering wheel and say, "Help". If the module is active on your car, you'll get a spoken voice providing details of the JaguarVoice system. Even if it doesn't understand you, you'll get a verbal response of some kind.
Frankly, I'd be surprised if a 2001 model has it but it's simple enough to test.
