The premier runway sprint in Australia Snowy Mountains 1000

What : 1000m Sprint on a runway

When : Friday 8 November (workshops/Tuners) AND Saturday 9 November (privateers) 2013

Where : Snowy Mountains Airport, 1611 Kosciuszko Road, Cooma, NSW 2630

- Two days, 200 cars
- Hotmix covering the first 100m of the course.
- Runway is 2.2km long with 1050m sealed braking area and 150m dirt run off, so there is plenty of braking distance.
- Runway is being commercially swept on the Thursday/Friday mornings and Lunch breaks on Friday/Saturday before the event, from one end to the other and side to side by a highway sweeper

There will be extensive media coverage including a TV crew from Speedweek.

The are a number of exotic cars entered, Ferrari 458, Lamborghini Gallardo, a Pagani Zonda (apparently), a heap of Skyline GTR's, Supra's, Evo's, WRX's, HSV's, FPV's, Corvette ZR1's...and a pair of Jaguar XJR's

Yep, we are in it, 34by151 & myself are flying the flag for Jaguar.

Very happy to say that the long awaited hotmix is is being layed on the 23rd, next week, right on time. And we have an awesome sweeper for the rest of the runway.

Also, final entries will close at 10pm on Friday, 25th October. There are still spots available for the Friday.

We were running in Class 2E, I came in 3rd, 34by151 in 4th.

The winner of the class was a 6.0L HSV VE GTS, I was only 0.6sec behind him, 2nd in class was another VE GTS "Walkinshaw 400" I was only 0.3sec behind him.

Fastest on the day was a Toyota Supra that did 308km/h (191mph) and the quickest was an R35 Skyline that did the 1000m sprint in 17.268seconds @ 299.9kmh (186mph)

Definitely going back next year, I have 12 months to find a second or so to put those HSV's in their place
