Okay I’ve spoken with Bill and he’s not available on 25th November but ok other dates at this stage. I think we should defer and find a date suitable for the four of us…..is that okay Jim & Garry?

I'm fine with deferring until more people are available.

Well things have changed for me since we all last spoke - had open heart surgery in December and still have a couple of months recovery. I am booked to do the Jaguar National Rally in early April and should be able to make that but nothing before hand - so count me out until after mid April - the issues of getting old :-(

Thanks for the kind regards - i have been back to hospital once to fix a couple of things, got a cold from the hospital a week after the operation - try coughing after that operation - but the operation itself has been totally pain free which surprised me.

I have just started to drive but can only travel short distances - like to the shops so I have given myself the target of being able to drive from Canberra to Bathurst in early April for the XJC muster and the following National Rally and subject to how I go with that I should be then able to go on any social trips that are organised.

By way of background I got Sepsis in October 2023 and was under the care of the hospital for 6 weeks. One of the outcomes can be damaged heart valves which I seemed to have escaped but late last year one valve was shown to be badly damaged so had to be replaced
- at the same time they also decided to do a double bypass as a preventative measure - so after about 7 hours on the table all was done :-)

Hi Jim, I've had a tumultuous couple of months. My wife is having big troubles getting around, due to a serious degenerative spinal disease. I have no idea of when I/we might be able to go out. In any case, I will be going to Thailand unaccompanied in April for Anzac and to catch up with my foster kids over there. They really aren't little kids any more - one is now 27 and the other is 19. The older one has graduated from uni and has her own internet business, as well as a good coffee shop. The younger one is 19 and in university. I just want to live long enough to see her graduate too. Back ion May and will have to see how Alice is going and whether I will have to wheel her about.
I hope others will be able to attend a nice drive and get together lunch trip - you really do work hard on organising one.
Bill
