Series 1 XJ6 Retrim Prices
Good Evening All,
Having seen some of the quality cars at the All British Car Day over the weekend, I've been motivated to look into a full retrim, but want an idea of what it is likely to cost.
Lets assume that all the leather and foam will need replacing together with the carpet. I would like to use a reasonable quality leather too.
Also open to recommendations of companies too.

Wrong city I know but just as a guide. I recently paid $2600 for leather re trim front and rear in my XJ6 Very nice quality leather (aircraft grade apparently , which is allegedly good quality and flame retardant even). That was a little one man shop, so I guess its only upward from there.
Dont know about carpets , havent had the need yet.
Really worth it to me, gives the car an entirely different feel and comfort level.

Really enjoyed the day. Some great cars there of all makes. Not quite as good as when I went in 2013 (range of cars) as there weren't as many Race Cars present (my particular bent), but still an extremely enjoyable event that I intend to return for future years.
I was thinking that A$5000 would be a good budget for a very nice job. I'd like to upgrade the sound system at the same time (sound system not included in the price), so that suitable speaker pods could incorporated during the retrim.
All pipe dreams at the moment, but worthy research all the same.

Yes it was for the quality of work he does. Not quite the scope of what Woz wants to do I think. That was only front and back seats with me doing R&R and deliveries to/from his place. No door trims etc. His $5k budget sounds about right especially at a larger shop, and usually its a tad more expensive up there.
