According to the younger generation Mt Coot-Tha ain't what it used to be for lovers, it's a hot spot for weirdo's and continuously patrolled by the boys in blue after dark.
No problem around the lookout, just the dark parking up spots.

Ha ha ha Doug.....ya never know!

Mate I appreciate the help organising the Saturday. I reckon you know Brissie like the back of your hand
1pm sounds good to meet. Would that be at the Hamilton Hotel or did you want to park somewhere else? We just have to find a spot with plenty of parking I guess.

Still haven't been able to contact David or Max about ABD
Cheers Clarke. Me neither mate. I sent an email off to the MG club of Queensland as one of the other people on that email chain told me David Robinson is the President of that. Nobody seems to know who is in charge lol! I guess we'll just have to rock up on the day I dunno.

It's been a long time since I parked up at Mount Cootha in my Mk1 Zephyr... so not aware of the wierdo's. They're everywhere nowadays I guess.
Parking at the Hamilton Hotel - they have a large, well lit, spacious carpark out the back. I wouldn't have a problem leaving our cars there while we went uptown and came back for dinner. So it's official then is it? We meet there at 1pm on Saturday for a meet and greet before heading off up-river in the City Cat around 3pm while Clarke slaves away at work until we return for a 6pm dinner. :-) Then a cruise up to Mount Cootha to round off the evening.

Perfect! Lets lock it in Doug.

We'll meet 1pm at the Hamilton Hotel. Park our cars there and have a captain cook. Back at 6pm for Steak n Clarke.

Sounds rad. Do we need to book the Hamilton for number of heads or just rock up?

It would pay to book ahead, we had dinner there tonight and it was quite busy.
Book for Bistro, the menu is the same but they will only do a single bill in the restaurant.
In the bistro we can have a drink at the bar while waiting for people to arrive.

Would you like to book it please Clarke. Not sure of numbers but count Lois and me in. Maybe two tables of 8 if that is possible?

Ok, I will do that. Once we have numbers we can change the booking to suit closer to the time.

whoops! You're now there too Jim. Cheers bud!

***UPDATE***

I have heard from Max Johnson who has confirmed entry for the day will be $20 which will include the famous RACQ metal badge. He has also requested numbers so I have relayed that too him as well. I am a little confused as he says he wasn't doing the Coordinator duties so hopefully he'll pass on the numbers to the relevant people.

Ok, dinner booked for 16 people in the Bistro under my name and Jaguar Forums. 6pm, Saturday 16th Sept.

Paul, I'm pretty sure Max is still steering the ship, although David is officially in charge. I think Max is just taking care of his health issues first & ABD second.
But the last two years I was involved with the committee David played a major roll in making day happen.

Great to have you aboard Joe! There will be plenty of seats left at the Hamilton if you show up mate so now worries at all. What is your partner's name?

Just a reminder to everybody again that the Admission Fee for ABD is $20 at the gate which includes the RACQ badge.

So....

Haven't heard from Ken for a while. Have they locked you up Ken? Hope you're out in time for the ABD.
