Back in Oz. Jags in New Orleans
G'day guys!
My apologies for my lack for regional coordinator duties these last few months. Many thanks to the legendary Clarke for keeping things going!
I have been in the USA and Forum use on my phone was pretty limited....plus I was having a wild time!(well at least in between work duties)
In saying that just got back from New Orleans and I was surprised how many classic Jaguars I spotted around the French Quarter. Those buggers have good taste in music AND cars ha ha ha!
XJS Facelift spotted just off Bourbon St:
Pre-face lift XJS spotted on Burgundy St:
Plenty of XJ's on and near Bourbon, in the Lower French Quarter. Really liked this XJ6 in BRG:
A newbie XJ!
This one on Esplande Ave:
Well, as fun as it was it's good to be back home in our great country once again!

Hey Doug & Lois,
What a cracker . . . lucky Mummy!
The Mk2 was, and still is, one of the most evocative Jaguars for mine.
And Lois' fine example here looks a really good one.
So, come on Doug, give us some details . . . we're not letting you off with a single pic and no story . . . or did ya steal it on a dark night and want to lay low? Hahahaha
Ooooh . . . I'm envious!
Best wishes to you both,
Ken

Found it on Gumtree in Perth. shipped back over here by CEVA Logistics (train to Melbourne and truck to Brisbane). Have been looking for a 3.8 Manual OD for some time but kept missing out so settled for this one. She is an older restoration with a few minor things for us to work on. Lois would kill me for buying another car so I bought this one 'for her' - can't complain now. :-) She loves it. We have had a 3.4 Mk1 and a 3.8 Mk2 back in the 70's so we are back in familiar territory. Working in the engine bay hasn't got any easier. We'll post more pics later.
