I got an email from Murray today, this date seems to fit.
Had a phone conversation with Murray this morning and now just waiting for a confirmation from his XJ13 replica owner friend to confirm.
Hopefully this date works out after a lot of phone calls, emails and a few visits to the shop myself over the last 14 months since this thread was started. Busy man to tie down.
Gday Clarke
Your idea of putting together a "club run" and making the drive to the Peninsula Jag workshop has been going round and around in my head.
My wife and I have thought long and hard and have a proposed date.....Saturday 15th October is the date that works for us between say 9 and midday for a simple meet and greet thing, tea, coffee, biscuits and scones ?and car display. Check your calendar and with the guys you have in mind and see if it works for you blokes aswell. (I've made it the weekend after Bathurst and before the Gold coast 600)
I'd like to think that I will get a few of MY happy clients along aswell for the above..
Now as I've said this is a proposed date.....I have asked my XJ13 replica client "Digby Cooke" to make himself and his car available for the morning and he has also has got an email this morning so I will let you know if he's coming or not...If he can that will be the date...If not we will make another date in November perhaps.
I will have to get back to you to confirm 100% but looks good. I will most likely have to car pool if I do come as the Goose is still a bit crook and I am on the other side of the continent at the moment
It has taken 14 months to settle a day for this visit, Murray Scoble has set a date that fits with his racing and work schedule. Hope you can all still make the trip.
It is approx 1 1/2 hours from Brisbane so a 7.15 meet in Brisbane for a 7.30 departure would in order. If we meet in the Moorooka/Rocklea area we can skip the toll road and head straight out the Mt Lindsay Highway or a more central point near say CBD or Milton would be a trip out Cetenary Highway to Mt Lindsay Highway Via the Logan toll road (2.74 toll each way.)
Gday Clarke
Digby can't make it on the 15 Oct but no matter, we would still like to invite you and your group along on the Morning of Saturday 15 Oct, I am suggesting between say 9 and midday so we can all get something else done on the day... I am thankful in a way for I want to mingle and get to know you all and with fifty people here I wouldn't be able to do that.
What we are looking to do is simply invite you all in and have a wonder around, I will make myself, my wife Amanda and Phil our employee available to answer any questions you might have, Tea, coffee, biscuits and scones will be provided so all you need is a plan and a clean car.

Looks like the planets are not going to align for me mate. The Blue Goose is out of action, James won't be able to come due to work (so no car pool), and I have an outing in Brisbane City that same Saturday night.
My apologies mate as I know this one was along time in the planning. My Jaguar duties this time off will be confined to the garage
Good work Clarke, I will be attending (without Lois) and probably prefer to meet at Milton but either place will suit.
Charlie... were you still coming with me?
Cheers, Doug.
