Default Map Update

Hi All,
it seems there is still only one old map update available at nearly $200. Its now nearly 5 years old.
I sent Jag an email suggesting they should give it out for free since it is so old and is no longer supported.
Lets see.

As expected i had no joy prising a map update out of them. Even though they told me that map updates were complementary during warranty period and even though I asked for a map update at every service. I got one early on but after that was told there were no updates available.
I checked and of course one was available but only to buy. So what is it complementary or not? I suspect Solitaire just didn't bother to check.
In any case the map is out of date and is no longer supported. Pretty poor for a premium brand.
Anyway my complaint is now lodged and I move on.
Might need to try one of these; XF android unit

I can understand your frustration and annoyance. However, you're not alone in being treated shabbily by Jaguar in Australia. They also indulge in sharp practice with owners less than 200 miles from the factory.

JLR sent me three eMails in June with a special offer of 20% off the LATEST European map update (see boxed in RED) - 79 UKP (152 AUD) instead of 99 UKP (199 AUD).

I didn't take up the offer and was pleased I hadn't when this LATEST map update was then superseded by a NEW version one month later in July (see boxed in BLUE).

So is this a Europe update from July 2022?
The last Australian update was about 2018.
I'm considering getting a complete plug n play 10" android unit from Aliexpress. Lots of options for Nav Apps.

My 2017 F-Pace has InControl Navigation on SD. The latest map available for the Europe Region is now July 2023:

There may be updates available for other Regions.

My 2014 XK has the older Navteq navigation on DVD. Jaguar no longer support this system and the last Europe update was 2017.
