My local "toy" shop is Jag Prestige Spares in Ringwood (98700542). I was in there today for a small item, and as usual I walked out with an impulse buy as well. They have a limited number of brand new old stock Series III workshop manuals, plus an even fewer number of S III owners handbooks, service books etc. in their original wallets, also new!

I took home a workshop manual. Jaguar had been selling them for $120, whereas J.P. took over the remaining factory stock and are selling them off at $68 ea. Not sure about prices on the handbooks etc.

Worth grabbing if you're interested, they also mail out. As well as the bargain price, once they're gone they're gone!

I have dealt with Phil there a bit and had good service, although a couple of things didn't work(second hand parts) but return postage was more than items cost. All in all they have been good to deal with, and were happy for me return items at my own cost.(as per usual with posted items)

 

Hi Clarke, when I started using them a few years back Phil told me that used parts can be returned as you say, and refurbished parts are tested & warranted for 6 months. On small or low risk items I'm usually happy with used. I guess the return postage is always a pain though, one reason I prefer to shop locally and I'm just fortunate to have JP located less than 10km away! IME compared to other suppliers such as JagDaim, JP are very price competitive.
