Default November Run

Anyone interested in a run/lunch on Saturday November 16?

Looking to get out again before the Christmas rush and the hot weather arrives

A tentative yes from us Steve. Have a lot happening in November, but hopefully the planets will align.

Starting grid so far is:

Tony and June
Mike and Sofi
Steve and Sandy
Kent and Jan

Looking at Nagambie Rowing Club as the destination , subject to a succesful QA visit with my gorgeous ex fiance (yes, taking one for the team again)

This may also provide Sofi with the chance for some lakeside pics as she was looking for something different.

Did the test visit today. Had the use of Georges club car, so cruised across surrounded by velour upholstery and a fluro digital dash in his old Ford LTD.

The rowing club would normally be a fine venue and we may revisit it next year in autumn as the heat subsides. Sadly at the moment they are renovating its lakeside deck so eating there is like dining next to a building site, because it is. Food was quite good and the lakeside ambiance would be good when everything is back to normal.

We have booked the Harvest Home Hotel in Avenel for this run. This a a beautifully restored old pub with quite a nice restaurant. https://harvesthome.com.au/

Will send out meet up details closer to the run, when we have participants confirmed.

Thanks, Steve, will see you at 1030. Unfortunately, I've had my ride in at repairers for the last 4 weeks and don't have her back yet (Shouldn't reverse into poles). Was supposed to be a 1-week job but 4 weeks later they have had trouble finding a replacement metal trimming for the bummer bar.

Thats a bugger Mike. Exasperating when a small part holds things , I hope your repairer can locate the bit for you.

We had a few drop outs so this one ended up like a mini car club run with some locals. Never mind, a good time was had by all. Posting mainly to support the venue at the Harvest Home Hotel at Avenel. Worth trying as a destination if you are ever out and about that way.

I hope you got a result. George and Anne were moving into their new house this weekend. The car in the middle is another of Georges ex cars he sold to another club member.

I always admired George's XJ40, good to see it's still around. Now he'll get to see two of his ex cars on a regular basis! Yes, we got a better than expected result on Sat.

Great news re the sale! If you know anyone who wants a 1980s land barge he is selling one of his Fairlanes also as part of his fleet reduction program. That will leave him with "just" his S3, a Zephyr and a Fairlane in the old fleet, and 3 cars and a bike in the modern fleet. Not bad for two people , one of whom rarely drives :-)

We seem to be having quite a lot of fleet reduction around the club , its become a thing. Some sell within the club but 80-90% head off to other pastures.
