hi all,

months back I ran over a big dog, and my 03 X-type was in the shop, needed a new rad, grill and few other cosmetic things. Recently, I’ve been getting errors like high engine temp, cruise not available, the temp guage shoots up to red, the car runs fine though, I so I pull over, restart and the ECM seemingly resets itself. The coolant never overheats. So I assumed I needed a new ECM. Haven’t got there yet...

so today, I went to change a head lamp and discovered this wiring mess flopping around. What the hell? The shop that did the work obviously didn’t put it back together.

I’m not sure if these wires flopping around have been the problem, the shops too busy to take a look til next week.

Could someone send me a photo of their wiring set up so I know where to reconnect and secure whatever it is?

(apologies I’m not a mechanic but I am handy and I do have tools)
