I am new to the forum but have been a Jaguar owner for 25 years. I recently purchased a 1988 Vanden Plas V12, with 35000 original kms. Body has zero rust or damage, and the interior is 100 percent as new, even the wood has no cracks or damage. It was sitting in a barn for the last 5 yars, has never seen snow but was taken to London Jaguar in Ontario, Canada. I've been quoted $15000 Canadian roughly to rebuild it back to flawless. I paid $5600 for the car. I'm wondering if anyone can recommend other Jaguar mechanics that are really trusted in Niagara area to London, even Toronto region? We don't want to cut any corners as we'd like to bring thos car back to concours perfect.

$15000 is the ballpark. I bought an immaculate, low mileage XJS that had been sitting for a lengthly period several years ago. It went straight to a Jag specialist(Edmonton). My instruction was to make it ready to drive without worrying. Bill was just over 15K CAD. Was worth every penny. You’re ahead of the game though since you only paid 6K for the car.
