Hi,

Thought I had best let you know that the east coast (not eastern part) of Canada is alive and well.

Although I am snow birding in TX at the moment, my wife and I live in the Head of St Margarets Bay near Halifax NS

At the moment our 1997 XK8 convertible is napping in its 2 car bedroom.

There are a number of Cats in the Halifax area

Preston

ps. and a belated Merry Christmas to you all

Hi and welcome. There's a few Montrealers on the site. I'm an ex-resident of St. Bruno myself, lived there for over 50 years.

Default New Toronto member with F-Type R Coupe

Greetings,

Just picked up my new 2015 F-Type R Coupe a few weeks ago. So far I love it... Italian Racing red with two tone red/black interior and Blade wheels. A few pics attached below.

I'm coming from a BMW M6 (2009) convertible which had an awesome engine sound powered by a naturally aspirated V10 but I have to say the Jag sounds WAY better...I can tell it is going to be a lot more fun.

Looking forward to getting to know the forum and meeting new friends.

Regards,
Jeff

Hi, I'm new in every aspect ... new on the forum, don't have a Jag yet but looking into a 95 XJS convertible next spring. Meantime would like to get in touch with people online or through meetings owning such a car but I presume you have to own first such a car before you can attend meetings ... Wil there be meetings in the fall or winter in the GTA. I'm living on the North side of Etobicoke. Thanks Marc

Marc, NO you do not have to own an XJS or any kind of Jag at all to come to a meeting!
In fact I invite you to come this Wednesday night to the local Jag club meeting. We have a great network of members who can help you find a great car.

Wednesday night Montgomery's Inn, at Islington and Dundas, meeting starts at 8 PM. if you come slightly early say 7;45 or so you may get to see a couple of jags in the parking lot.

I hope to see you there!

Duane

Hi, I'm new here, living in Etobicoke, Ontario. I'm looking into buying a '95 XJS convertible next spring. Meantime I would like to get in contact with members from the area through this site or meet and have a look at your car. I have a European background with a love for Jags. Would be nice able to attend regular meetings or meet and great in the area. Looking forward. Thanks Marc

when replying, click on "go advanced" and you will see "manage attachments" under "attach files". should be simple from there on.

Anyone with a Jag in the Brighton area ? I am hoping for some more nice weather so I can delay storage for another month or so.

Default Jaguar xjr trade

Hi Everyone,
I am thinking about trading my Audi Allroad for a 1998 XJR even trade.
No money changes hands. My Allroad has 236,000 km and the Jag has 225 km on the clock. The Jag owner says he replaced the pads and rotors, new flex lines, new front wheel bearings, ball joints, timing chain and tensioner within the last 3 months. The Jag comes with 19" aftermarket rims as well as the 17" stock rims.
My 2002 Audi Allroad is in excellent shape outside and the 6 cylinder engine is in very good condition after the usual maintenance.
Does this sound like a good deal?

Hi James and welcome to the site. For better visibility it would be best if you post your question in the dedicated XJR section

XJ XJ8 / XJR ( X308 ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum

or

XJ XJ6 / XJ8 / XJR ( X350 & X358 ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum

depending on the year and also provide as much info about the car as possible. It could be the deal of a century or a disaster in the making depending on the condition of the car. I wouldn't think about making a decision without a full inspection by a knowledgeable mechanic.

Are you aware that in Ontario, when two parties trade vehicles, even with no money changing hands, BOTH parties have to pay the 13% HST on the full value of the car which they are obtaining (or the wholesale value of same)

Hi, everyone. My name is Cliff and I just bought a 1991 XJ6-40 four door last weekend. It will be a few weeks before I get it home as I have to make room for it first (sell my 1957 Morris Isis). I also have a 1957 Hillman Husky. Great to see a Canadian section to the forums. I live in Cranbrook, B.C. This is my first Jaguar, although I have wanted one for quite a while but it never worked out. The Jag hasn't run for two years so I am not sure what I will find but it should be interesting to say the least. I have started a branch of the OECC BC car club about two years ago and we now have a yearly British car show in Kaslo B.C. in September and the roads there are fantastic for sports cars. I have attached a picture of my Jag.

Cheers,
Cliff
