I'm living in Toronto, Ontario and considering buying a 1996 or 1997 XJ6 VandenPlas with 160 - 180k as a daily driver also in the winter. Please advise. Greatly appreciated.

Hey, I bought a '98 XJ8 VDP last Feb and I'm loving it though i have had to spend about $2000 on repairs since then but hey its a 16 year old car. Joy to drive. rear wheel drive so its a bit loose during heavy winter driving but we seem to be having a rather mild winter so far (touch wood). There are plenty of these V8's for sale around the GTA for your consideration.
