Wondering what others have done for rust proofing ?


Just got a 1999 XJR, 50,000 miles ( 80,000km )


Was thinking of getting Ziebart to apply their sound barrier rust proof.
Not planning on driving this in the winter, thought the sound proofing might take the last of the tire noise out of the car.


I've done the Crown oil every year on my 2007 Duramax, and it's rusty ... and it's not being driven in the snow or ice neither , Think the problem with the oil it washes off in the rain over time.


Any thoughts or advice ?

 

Hello, could you please share how you dealt with rust? Can you tell me which method or product you used to remove the rust? I have considered using a rust-sealant for mine, but I'm not fully convinced yet, so I would appreciate some advice. Thank you in advance.
