I found a clear plastic tube about 2.5 inches long with black pvc caps on either end stamped Moss Plug 10. I have a 2003 Jag XK 8 convertible and can't find out what this part is?? I found it on the seam of the left fender where it joins the convertible top. Can anyone tell me what it is and what it's for? Thanks in advance.

 

Possibly a home made anchor dowel for the convert top where it is pinned under trunk lid.
