Default Is it impossible to keep the wheels on an XJ40 clean?

I have a 1991 XJ40 and I bought a bottle of Eagle 1 Mag Wheel Cleaner. It didn't take a week for the front wheels to be black all over again. I haven't re-used the Eagle 1 Mag Wheel Cleaner yet.

The brake pads make all the difference. Check and see if they offer ceramic pads for your model year. If they do put them on and you'll be very dust free.

Depending on how much you are driving weekly this will happen.....Maybe you could find some time in between your wash shedule to just clean your rims. In about 5 min using your favorite mist and wipe and some clean MF towels, they will be looking sweet again....dress up the tires with some fresh protectant and your rims and tires will be looking great until wash day!
