Hello all,
This has most likely been asked, although i couldn't seem to find it.
I have the 20" Victory edition BBS Perseus aluminum wheels and am trying to
get a suggestion or two as to a quality cleaner and sealer.
I use Zaino for all my exterior paintwork, They don't have an aluminum cleaner.
Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

 

I think I've purchased every known brand of wheel cleaner out there and some are better than others, but the one that I've just recently discovered is called Sonax and is head and shoulders over anything I've used prior. Just this weekend, I used it on my wife's Audi and all I did was spray (no agitating) and it removed all the winter grime, brake dust and other crap that had accumulated since well before Christmas and left only the smallest amount of brake dust in the most hidden corners of the wheels. This may well have been that my spray missed those spots.

Anyway, I've never used a product that was as close to perfect. Not cheap, but none of them really are.

By the way, in the summer, between full washes, I use baby wipes to clean my wheels. Keeps them looking brake dust free, is gentle on your wheels and very inexpensive.

 

SONAX FULL EFFECT wheel cleaner.....nothing else comes close IMO

I tried it some time ago and recently put Graham GGG onto it too......its acidic free and works amazingly well, so much so you can actually see it working as it turns from a clear / greenish liquid to a deep dark red as it dissolves the brake dust in front of your eyes.

Try it, I promise you won't regret it

 

Sonax, Wolfgang Uber, and Pinnacle Clear Coat Safe Wheel Cleaners are probably the best ones I have played with. See How to Clean Wheels with Ease. You get a year and a half of protection, no other wheel wax or sealant can do that. IMO
