I recently purchased some paint from Dr Color Chip and was wondering what I should do with a few small chips that appear to have rust in them. they are not very big. Only a few mm wide. I don't want to create a bigger spot than I have already. do they need to be sanded or is there some other way to get rid of the rust?

Has anyone ever tried CLR(calcium, lime, rust) remover? Ive used it on other cars to remove rust spots but didn't care about the paint. It didn't take any paint off then so I might try it.
