Support Your Local Detailer
So I've been doing my own waxing, polishing, claying, etc for a life time. I have 2 shelfs full of various products, a cheep random orbit device and a bad attitude re the results I've been able to achieve. My XJR had tree sap, scratches and a general dull look, none of which I was able to overcome.
Long story short: I turned it over to a couple of guys who do detailing for several local car dealers. I came back in 2 hours. Holy s---! The car looks better than show room new. 90% of the tree sap and scratches are gone. The finish is deep and the matalic paint has a quality I never knew was there. I am so pleased and so were they. They told me to let them have at it again in 6 months and it will get better.
The point is, when amateur efforts fail, let the pros do their thing. It's cheeper than you think.

Great advise, its hard to be a jack of all trades.....if you know what I mean. Maintenance is one thing, keeping your vehicle clean on a regular basis...but as tarhealcracker say's...............Leave the detail's to the pro's!
Thank you for the support!

There is a great one near my apartment in Arlington, VA, called KP Touch. It cost me $100 for a buff and wax and they did a better job than I could ever imagine doing myself. Not to mention quickly--took them about 4 hours to do something I'd have to spend all day on, and end up with sore arms, etc!
