Hi everyone,


I've recently purchased a '99 Daimler Super V8 which is in need of some TLC underneath. Ideally it needs stripping back, a rust inhibitor applying, and finally a waxoyle to protect it.
I'd love to do the work myself but lack a ramp which would be necessary to clean the underside properly. Im wondering if anyone knows anywhere I can get the underside steam cleaned? Im based in Warwickshire, UK.

Hi Beavis, sorry I can't help, but what about 4 axle stands set on highest setting? Wouldn't they give you enough clearance?
I did have a friend some years ago who ran this as a business doing the work for the major car dealers and taxi drivers in Glasgow....As a professional he of course used a ramp.

 

Why not try a haulage yard or a bus garage. I've done that in the past with R/Rovers, usually cost me a few beers.

 

I have a simple solution.....One of my vendors here in the US carries a "Under Carriage Wand" with casters..Simply attach the wand to your power washer gun, insert your quick connect nozzle and roll under vehicle. The under carriage wand is also ideal for cleaning under boat trailers
and motorhomes.

If you have a pressure washer this works fabulous...........
