Default XJ40 owner

I'm a new owner XJ40 (XJ6 Sovereign), first time Jag owner. Even though the car has over 220000 miles on it and minor electrical issues, I'm in love. I never thought I'd like a car, since I never cared much about car at all. Until this baby came along. Something about this almost classic car intrigues me. Fixing/refurbishing it myself actually makes me like the car even more. It's been two weeks, so far it's been great. Just recently (about 600 miles in) found out that the Jag needs premium instead of regular. No wonder it's been driving sluggish lately. I just couldn't figure out what was happening, until I asked my first question here. haha. Learning as I go.

Welcome danpop! I've heard good things about the XJ6 in regards to the powerplant. Wow, over 220,000 miles and still going. We wish you many more enjoyable miles from your 'new' jaguar.

Welcome from Jim and Cindy, over on Van isle! These cars are special, and if you are gonna fix a car,it might as well be a Jag!

We always run premium fuel,as Champ gets hissy on regular.

Cheers,Jim and Cindy.
