Default white haze in my paint on black xj

I have a brand new 2011 xj in black on Monday I brought to a hand wash for the first time, I noticed a scratch on the bumper asked the man to buff it, he used no 7 compound , now I have a haze that won't come out, I took it backhand he tried maguires compound it got lighter but still no luck,..
What should he do ? Use a buffer machine he did it by hand .isn't compound too strong ? Did the man mess up? Please advise.

The hazing is actually micro-scratches in the paint caused by the compound. When using an aggressive compound, you need to follow it up with a finer polish to finish things off. While you could technically do it by hand, you will always get better results by machine.

Jerry,

It was my pleasure chatting with you earlier today, hopefully the referral I gave you worked out...Stay far far away from those hack shops out there that use those nasty olskool compounds....This sounds like an easy fix for the right detailer....If I was closer, you would be handled!

Congrats on the new Jag!

Zaino Z-5 BY hand and you should be good to go. 2 to three coats and finish it off with a coat of Z-2. you will be impressed.
