Default Jaguar Xf 3.0d 275hp from 2009 issues reduced power

Hello,

My name is Flo and I'm from Austria.
I just purchased a Jaguar XF 3.0d with the 275hp its from 2009.

On the drive home I got a message that told me that the engine power is reduced.

Fault codes I read with the tester where:

P006A
P00BD
P2263
P0235

I already cleaned the maf sensors and the one sensor that is in the intake I think it's the pressure/temp sensor?

So when the fault displays I hear strange noises from the area of the air box just as it blows out air when you push the gas pedal and the rpm fall down then there is the noise but only when it is in power reduced mode with the message on the speedometer.

When I clean the codes I can try in sport mode to accelerate hard and for a short amount of time there is no issue and the Jag pulls strong like he'll so I can't believe that I have a leakage also I removed the air box and checked all the hoses I can reach they are good.

What you guys think?
Should I just buy all the sensor and replace them or has somebody a solution or a similar problem solved?

Thanks alot!

Regards Flo

If you're absolutely certain no hoses are leaking, including the intercooler hoses, check the plastic intake manifolds for cracks. They can be very hard to find.

The problem is already solved.

I cleaned the mad sensors and the map/boost sensor on top of the engine and since that I haven't had an issue with reduced power.

Only thing I imagined is that it rattles for a few seconds during start up - oil was changed 800km ago.
So I next will change the timing chains including the tensioner and I also change the timing belt / water pump in that repair.

Should be the timing chain tensioner that cause the rattle noise on start up

Also there was no Metall or shavings in the old oil.

What do you think about the rattle noise?

Regards flo

Well, it'd be nice if you had posted that it was solved so people don't waste their time & on the UK site.

I can't help you with the rattle I'm afraid as I haven't heard it. They're best diagnosed at the engine in person. Good luck.

Get a smoke test done. It may be a crack in the inlet manifold. I speak from experience here.

You can do the job yourself if you are handy with the spanner so to speak. Otherwise its an expensive job

I'm sorry I posted that a month ago and haven't remembered the thread since you answered as first person on the thread.
Otherwise I think the thread and post is helpful if someone else has the same problem

You had a rattling sound from a Crack in the manifold only during start up a few seconds?
Or do you meant the reduced power problem that is already solved?

About the rattling sound for me it sounds like timing chain tensioners and I can change them by myself that's not the problem just wanted to know if someone had the same sounds only few seconds on start up and can confirm that cause as I see that engine has some special symptoms and "problems" comparing to other engines I worked on but normally from the sound and my experience on several other cars I would say timing chain tensioners.
