hi guys my 2013 2.2 d xf looses power and goes into reduced performance mode, when i floor it. i have already changed the MAF sensor. Engine fault light has gone out but problem still remains. any ideas?

 

I'm a relatively new convert to the XF so my knowledge is limited, but have you looked into the DPF. Apparently short stop start runs can lead to issues and there are procedures to help clear the system. One approach is to get the car up on a constant run of about 50 or 60 miles at a constant speed of about 60-75 mph. I think it sometimes takes more than one such procedure. I know in restricted mode, that's a bit of a catch 22 situation.A search will unearth the details.

 

Thanks sogood. Its worth looking into. But i already drive 60 miles a day there and back at 60 to 70 mph. 4 times a week. Thought that would sort that fault out..
