so tonight I went to use the car but the engine light is on and staying on. Any ideas? Could that mean a service is due?

It’s a 2019 epace.. I’ve seen videos on people resetting this if it is that but I can’t find a video for my car.

Hi, to reset it it's mandatory to have almost an obd reader. The target must be not to only reset it (yes, maybe can be also a temporary error) but you need a obd reader to understand which is the issue that put on the light

 

The check engine light turns on for a reason. You don’t just turn it off and ignore it.
Get the code that triggered the light to turn on and then make an educated decision.

And no, the check engine light does not turn on to let you know you have a service appointment coming up soon.
