My doors no longer unlock when I get near them with my key fob. They used to unlock automatically. I can manually unlock from the key fob either close to the car, or across the street, so I figure there's plenty of battery in the fob.

1) Is there a setting in car controls where I may have inadvertently turned proximity unlocking off?
2) Should I replace fob battery with a new one, thinking more juice in battery might restart proximity unlocking?
3) Other suggestions?

BTW, mine is a 2018 P250S with 38K miles and going strong, no problems - I love it!

I have numerous cars and all of them have FOB’s. I have to say that the Jag is the most fussy about the condition of the FOB battery. So I keep spare FOB batteries in a drawer and flip them out if there is the smallest issue.

With most other manufacturer FOB’s you can tell when the distance to the vehicle gets less and less, or you have to confirm there is a clear line of sight to the vehicle towards the end of the batteries life. But with Jag, different features just stop working. Took me a while to get used to it, but it is my first Jag.

So I would recommend new batteries in all the FOB’s you have for your Jag.
