The lack of communication is astounding for a company like JLR – and my experience to date is that I wish I had never bought the car in the first place and would never go near them again… ever!
Maybe they gave up on Jags and give better service to Land Rover customers.

I’m looking at a 2018 E Pace SE P200 AWD. So this thread’s been an interesting read. It has 65K klms on it & they’re asking $35K (AUD), which is around $20K cheaper than similar advertised cars. I’ll definitely be getting a thorough inspection done, & I’ll ask them to give special attention to the problems mentioned here. But if it checks out ok, I think it’ll make a good daily driver & a modern companion to my 67 Daimler V8. I’ll probably move on my Alfa if I buy it. I’m going to look at it this Saturday.

Thanks. Yeah it’s real sweet! It belonged to a FIFO mine worker (Fly In, Fly Out), who only used it for a local run around, when he was off work, & kept it covered & garaged when he was away. So it’s immaculate. It has a full service history, with nothing but regular services logged. & I managed to negotiate $5K, off the already low price. Making it around 60% cheaper than its 2019 purchase price. I’m over the Moon! I’m going to trailer it home today. Woo Hoo!

Default Congrats,

my wife still loves hers (2018) and other than the initial issues I described in other posts it has been pretty reliable. It works great in the snow which is important for her. Good luck and enjoy it as jaguar stops making gas vehicles

Default Discontinued??

Sorry if this isn’t quite the right thread, but I’ve enjoyed reading the thread as I’ve had the same question. Plus, this additional question..
I recently noticed the jaguar E Paces and have fallen in love! So I’m doing my deep dive into their reliability, vehicle issues, etc only to find out that they will be discontinued by the end of the year (2024). It figures that the first car I’ve been truly moved to buy in years is due to be discontinued. I’m wondering if anyone here is worried about long term vehicle support? Or if you know what that long term support will look like, can you comment on that here?

I think that the close ties with the LR brand should ensure that we will continue to receive support. The EPace uses the same platform and engines as the Evoque and I believe, the Discovery Sport and consequently parts are available and should continue to be so. Go on, you know you want one...

I saw the mention of LR to jag and was just researching that connection, when I got pinged that someone had already responded. Thanks for the quick response! And thanks for that info. It definitely makes me feel better to know that parts shouldn’t be scarce. I’ll for sure follow up on that tip!

Here in Australia we have a law that compels car companies to guarantee at least ten years support for any vehicle they sell here. So I can’t see parts being a problem until at least the mid 2030s. And if I still own my car at that stage, & the safety ***** haven’t deemed me too old & feeble to drive, I’ll worry about it then.

My 2018 E Pace now has over 62,000 miles and I would buy another. Other than having to get new keys &
have it re-programmed, it has only been serviced twice. I use Pirelli P-zero tires, & get 32 mpg on the road.
The only real issue is that I am now on the third battery, but have only paid for one. Jaguar should install a much higher quality battery when new. I have owned 7 Jaguärs with very few service issues. Worst thing you can do is to not drive much....I also own a 2002 XK8 with 85,000 miles on it and have been well pleased with its performance. Of the 7, this is the only one that had battery issues.

Mine’s clocked up 78K klms now, with no real issues. I had my local mechanic service it recently & he couldn’t find anything wrong with it either. The only strange thing it does is when stopped at traffic lights the transmission disengages quite sharply after around 30 seconds. I live in a rural area, with no traffic lights so I only notice it when I go to town. I’ve reset the transmission, which eliminates it for a while, but it comes back, though not as violently as it was. If it keeps doing it, & gets worse, I’ll probably stump up for a dealer service & see what they make of it
