Default Current 2016 Lease Deals On Convertible

I have been looking at both R and S model convertibles in the Midwest to replace my XK lease. I have seen some R models where the advertised prices are 13,000 off the MSRP on the R and about 10,000 off the S. When approaching dealers about a lease , they refuse to start with the advertised purchase price claiming that the rebates do not apply to leases. Given the fact that the 2017s are coming in, I am perplexed by their claims. One would think they would be willing to discount the MSRP by more than 10%. Has anyone had any similar experiences

When I leased mine in January, all of the discounts applied to lease and purchase.

Why would you even lease through the ***********? Call premier lease. They lease high end and exotic. You'll get all discounts. Walk into the dealership with the deal already done then just negotiate price or premier lease will do it for you. Or find a year old car at a much bigger discount and they'll lease that to. I leased my 6 month old f type for 850/mo through them.

Seeing your location is Wisconsin I'm guessing Bergstrom is the dealer you're referring to? I saw the same thing about a month ago when I was in the market. They had 16s discounted 13-15k but refused to base a lease off anything but the MSRP. Well they still have those cars and more and more 17s are hitting the lot. I can't understand why they wouldn't want to deal.

When I was dealing for my car in March and April I received similar story and bad lease deals due to different discounts being applied for lease vs sale. This was at more than I dealer. I wonder if lease deal incentives vary from region to region. You could see there wasn't even a strong interest in discuusing a lease deal.

All discounts should apply regardless of payment method. The dealer is full of it. Jaguar pays them to move product regardless of how it's paid for. The fact that you might lease through The Jag preference leasing company should even make it better for the dealer who I think gets incentive for using them. I would play hardball with the GM at the dealer and if they don't cave walk away and shop more broadly.

Call an outside leasing company and they will but the car from jaguar for the discounted price. I've done this several times. And they have buying power with dealerships because they but lots of cars through them. Premier lease or D&M.

I was specifically told/shown in writing by two dealerships an $8k jag discount for buying and only $2.5k for leasing. I also received VIP car discount. Maybe because the car had been punched they couldn't discount the same? Come to think of it only one of the two cars was VIP.

sometimes there will be incentives that cannot be combined with preferred lease rates (JLR Financial). You have to pick one or the other. That's when sometimes an outside leasing company like Premier or using PenFed's payment saver is a much better option.
