Hello Forum!
I want to remove the headlights on my 1967 OTS (1.25 w/open headlights) to inspect the openings and make sure rust is not developing in the back.
Despite my searches and 2 "how to" books, I cannot find a good tutorial to remove the headlights. Besides the rust inspection, understanding how to do this correctly would be necessary also in case I need to replace one of the bulbs. Is there anyone that have a good resource to share?

The trim ring is held on by a simple spring catch. Grab the bottom of the ring and give a sharp pull. It will pull off.

Apparently the one on the left had not been removed for quite some time as it was very hard to pull off. That's why I was concerned about breaking something. I tried the other one following your suggestion and it came off easily. Now that I have both rings out, I covered the springs with a very thin layer of grease, so next time shouldn't be too hard. Thanks again.
