Default 1970 series 2 won't start

At the end of 2018, while car started right away, the little red ignition light on the dash bd was staying on. After several uses, I have to turn key several time to get the car cooking. Now wont start at all. I knew it wasn't the battery but I replaced it anyway ( as it was very old). Any suggestions to what I should be looking at or where? Any help will really be appreciated.. Thanks Rich

A common issue is the ignition switch. Check that you are getting spark when turning the starter. My ignition switch began to smoke and cooked the key and my fingers when I tried to turn the car off. How old are the points, coil, plug wires, etc.,?

Do you mean the engine will not fire or that it does not turn over? If the latter, the little red light is telling you that the alternator, regulator or wiring has failed and your battery is dead. A service manual will show you how to short the regulator to determine which component is the cause. If the former, Alfred had some good suggestions.
