Cool 1973 XKE rear brake or spring issue

I am looking at an nice E-type Coupe, that, turning right from a stop, and not overly accelerating, gets a snap from the rear, with the right rear tire giving a loud chirp. Maybe the brake is sticking, causing the spring to wind up, then suddenly letting loose? Sounds like an expensive repair. Anyone have experience with this?

Although it may only be a small inexpensive part, back there it will likely be expensive to fix since the IRS need to be dropped for a many rear end repairs to brakes, suspension and U-joints. Before I bought my E-type it need a new U-joint and the labour was $650, and the U-joint was about $100 Also once you remove the IRS It makes sense to go over everything and fix whatever may be wearing out.

Perhaps a problem with the limited slip?

Doug, you got there before me. Yes, it sounds just like something is stopping the diff from 'diffing'.
