Anybody willing to help appraise a 73 XKE?
That is a CAT, there are some who will and some who won't but I'd give my right arm to have that Beauty up and running!
You have a magnificent Masterpiece there! You are obviously new on the forum so WELCOME! Please wait for someone with the right knowledge to judge this.
Don't sell it or otherwise until you get some good advice!!
If you do wish to restore this beast, please post some pics and don't go anywhere too quick!
My heart nearly stopped there, when I opened your post!!!
The guys will advise and get you to the right place!
Hang in there 73XKE, you're in good hands, but the guys will want to know more!
This car is magical!!! Regards, Stu

By the way you have an icon, a LEGEND! It is the car Enzo Ferrari called the Most Beautiful in the WORLD!!! Also known as the "E" Type.
Congratulations on your amazing catch!

Fair enough with the XK8 however, Etypes command huge premiums these days so if you have the time, I would be tempted to give it a complete wash and brush up, tidy up the interior, change all the fluids and try and get it running.
It looks to be in original condition so a little bit of time and not too much money could raise your sale price. Also look at reputable auction houses, keen restorers will always be interested in a car like that.
Hope this helps,

+1 on putting it up for sale as a runner.
Based on the pictures, the paint appears to be original (great patina) and I don't see any rust. If these are both the case, than I would really play these up in the description and note this this car is a true surviver. Restorer's love original paint // patina.
It's rare that a car like this has no rust, so again really play this up if this is the case. Also be sure to mention the cars location (that it's in Arizona) as these dryer climates are best to preventing rust to car body's.

Not sure how comparable this site is, but looking at the condition guide and value report, definitely will command a larger price in running condition. your's is one great looking machine - one many would want in their garage

Note that the Jaguar original, removable hardtop is valuable in itself, especially that chrome trim piece that surrounds the rear window (now thought to be made of unobtanium). Do not give that away!
