Question Can E-Type be towed on a U-Haul?

Planning on towing my "new" E-Type , via U-Haul car hauler....Has anyone done this?
Is it even possible?
Thanks for input.

Just make sure the car hauler can take the weight. It should since the E-type is dry weight is roughly 1,000kg for the vert, and 1,260 for the 2+2. Tire tie downs should hold the car in one place and get you where you want to go as long as your truck can haul the weight.

I guess what I'm really asking is if there is a physical interference between a U-Haul trailer , and the E-Type...width and height of the car...and the track of the wheels, as these trailers are open in the middle, and have ridges on the edge of the ramps.
U-Hauls will easily carry the weight, so that will not be a problem.

Measure E-type's tyres from outside to outside, then measure trailer space. Should fit as I only had problem with Minis, Morris and Triumphs.

U-haul trailers are not standardized to any great degree. One might work, another not so much.

U-haul rents two types of trailers for towing vehicles and I have used both for hauling vehicles cross country.
1. the Dolly, this is not made for rear wheel drive vehicles. You will either have to tow your Jag backwards (dangerous) or remove the drive shaft. These are unstable, do not track and follow well so are only useful for very short moves and even then I would never use one again.
2. The trailer, before you rent go measure one at your local U-haul dealer. I've used these on a variety of cars with good luck. However I found them to be different heights and widths at different dealers so better safe and go look.

I have no idea if this helps you, but I just dolly-ed a 2007 XK parts car for 1500 miles - front wheels up, driveshaft disconnected.

The front tires DID overhang the width of the dolly "wheel-track" by an inch on either side, but since the tires are cinched tight by the nylon binders to the front stops, they really couldn't go anywhere. It was NO fun getting it up the incline alone, as I had to go buy a winch at walmart, and jury-rig a bridle and crank for ever ....

Had zero problems, didn't even feel it behind my Suburban, except at the fuel stops ( ouch )

Thanks all for the replies....It looks like I may just have the car shipped, and save the potential hassle....The difference in money over the 800 mile distance, is not that tremendous.
I have had no problem with MG's on U-Haul trailers, but E-Types are so different in measurements.
