Default Chassis Noises

As a new 64 E-Type owner I am concerned with chassis noises going over bumps. Are these normal? If not, any suggestions or comments? Thanks

What kind of noises???
Remember, these are old cars, and some noises could be considered normal. Old worn-out suspension bushings could make noises going over bumps.
Give us more info.
Bill.

Kiddent:

First off, welcome to the Forum!

Secondly, a well-sorted Series 1 E-type shouldn’t make a lot of creaking noises over bumps...the monocoque chassis itself is pretty stiff.

Is your car a Coupe or Roadster? What is its mechanical condition?

As Bill mentioned, we’ll need a lot more information to diagnose your particular issue. Try to describe it in words, or, better yet, shoot a short video so we can hear the sounds.

I also have a ‘64 E-type and I live about 15 or 20 miles north of you. Let me know if I can answer any more questions about your car...I’ve owned mine for 42 years and have learned a thing or two about these beautiful machines.

Good luck!

Where have my manners gone?
I didn't notice this was your first post Kiddent.
Welcome to the E-Type community. Post a photo or two of your jag. We all want to see it.
Bill.
