Default Collapsed vacuum hoses

I have been for a test drive on my series two roadster following a complete restoration. On returning home I found the two vacuume hoses connected to the booster had collapsed, as well as vacuum hoses around the reservac tank and check valve. The braking system is completely new including the booster, master cylinder and check valve. I suspect that the vacuum hoses used are the incorrect specifications and are too weak. Any advice would be appreciated,
