Default Head games, and it ain't a Foreigner album.

Those who read my intro know that we are in the middle of a right side cylinder head repair. Ordered the plate type head puller from England and it was so necessary I couldn't believe it. Finally got the head removed and discovered what many before have experienced .... dropped valve seat. The victim was number six intake. Luckily the seat was still intact and was in the head pocket just enough to not destroy the piston crown, although it did leave a light witness mark. The head is being dropped off to Alabama Cylinder Head today and we'll see what the man has to say about the condition. Lots of corrosion and pitting in the water jacket area of the head surface. Will update as we go along.

Well, that cylinder head has been at the shop for a while now. The deck has to be welded up and milled to give us a worthy gasket surface. Slow going as they don't want to warp it beyond serviceability. Will check back in once we get back to assembly. Ya'll have fun now.
