Default Head how much can be skimmed off

Just wondering how much I can skim my head to. looks like it's been skimmed before two or three times. It's a straight port head off a 2.4

I believe Jaguar once quoted a minimum head depth, but don't know where the measurement is taken or the depth value. If it has been done several times it might be better to find another head if you can. Continual skimming risks the inlet valve getting a tad too close to the piston, and you could end up with a bent valve.

Have a look at this website. It suggests if the head is only 3 thou out then don't bother skimming.
